Name: Semangat
Species: Acid Spitter [Varanidae acidus]
Gender:Male
Age:38
Biome:Tropics - very dense foliage and high annual rain fall. He lurks around the forest floor when hunting. When keeping a lookout of his territory, he uses the 'thumb' on his hind legs to quickly climb the trees to pounce on potential prey and intruders, or to make a getaway. If a particular tree is stable enough to support his weight, Semangat will venture out to the emergent layer to get a better vantage point for lookouts by getting a wider range of 'view' using a trait particular to acid spitters (The skull cavity). From years of tree-climbing, he has developed more rough paw pads to accommodate thick bark. His main source of food are various fruits and nuts native to his territory. If a smaller reptile or mammal happens to cross his path, he will commonly substitute that rather than his regular herbivorous meal. His water source is a large delta lying on the outskirts of his territory.
Personality:Knowing that he claims a large lot of land, Semangat regularly patrols the outskirts of his land. Being a Spitter native to the Tropics, he is much more aggressive towards territorial threats, and pretty much any other organism that poses as potential competition to resources. If given the opportunity to drive out other residents of nearby land, he will do so to gain more territory. However, he will not do so if faced with a large pack that he can't handle. Semangat likes to strategize attacks to make sure he gets the greatest amount of resource possible, while being unharmed. If a situation arises, he can be highly adaptable. Semangat is generally nocturnal due to his dark coloration, but is sometimes active during the day. He is both scavenger and a fierce hunter as situations demand. He never lets a scrap of food go untouched.

Acid spitter's [c]

thank you!
The gnarled, crooked branches just look so COOL.
And as for the tree, I discovered how much I like over exaggerated roots and bark as much as I like uber flowy smoke.
Cause I'm a trend setter like that
